FAQs
What is a mesh banner?
Mesh banners are custom printed banners made with tiny holes to allow air and sunlight to pass through. This helps prevent advertising banners fading or becoming damaged due to adverse weather conditions. They are generally printed one sided using a UV or dye sublimation process. The makeup of mesh banners makes them more resistant to wrinkling compared to other advertising banner materials such as Fabric and PVC.
Why use mesh banners?
Mesh advertising banners are a great option if you’re planning on installing your banner in an outdoor location. Printed mesh banners are ideal for scaffolding or building wraps as the material reduces wind-loading on building structures. They’re also eco-friendly, making them a more sustainable option than PVC banners.
What is the standard size of a mesh banner?
There is no standard size of a mesh banner. It is entirely dependent on where you want your banner to be displayed and what size will work for your objectives. Get an instant quote for any shape or size you need. If you’re looking for large banners or need any advice, feel free to get in touch.
Can you see through a mesh banner?
Because the holes in mesh banners are so tiny, you won’t be able to see through your printed mesh banner. Infact, on polyester airmesh banners, you will actually get a 90% show through on the reverse making it an almost double-sided banner!
What is the difference between wind slits and mesh banners?
Wind slits are where you create a slit in your banner in an attempt to allow wind to pass through. A mesh banner is purposely made with lots of tiny holes to serve the same purpose. We strongly advise against using wind slits as these can easily turn into large rips or tears in windy conditions.
