FAQs
What is a building wrap?
A building wrap is a large outdoor banner designed to wrap around a building or scaffolding. Made from 230gsm heavy polyester, a building wrap provides weather protection and helps contain dust and debris.
Scaffold wraps are primarily used to disguise or advertise a project. Building wrap printing allows you to advertise your brand message to passersby. Scaffolding wraps can be used to cover an entire building providing an opportunity to use some high-impact advertising.
You could potentially earn additional revenue by selling your building wrap space to another business or brand.
Is building wrap necessary?
- Visibility for your brand – huge building wraps give you a great chance to capture attention
- Guaranteed audience – your building wrap advertising is guaranteed to be seen by passersby for the duration of your project
- Site safety – protect the community from debris, noise or unsightly project work
Weather protection – a scaffold wrap will help protect your construction projects from adverse weather conditions
Should scaffolding have netting?
Scaffolding wraps help shield workers from different weather conditions helping them to perform tasks easier. A great source of shade in summer and protection from wind and rain in winter, scaffold wraps or custom debris netting are a must-have for your construction project.
A scaffolding wrap also helps act as a barrier to prevent dust or debris coming into contact with the wider public.
What are the different types of building wrap?
What type of building wrap is best?
We believe heavy polyester mesh is the best option for construction projects due to its strength, durability and air permeability. If you’re looking for a solution other than 230gsm polyester mesh, contact us and we’ll be happy to help!
How thick is scaffold and building wrap?
Do I need reinforced Keder hems?
For building wraps and large banners over 25 square metres, we strongly recommend using reinforced Keder hems. This adds more strength and stability around the steel eyelets to prevent your building wrap from ripping or falling down in adverse weather conditions.
How long do mesh building wraps last?
Is mesh building wrap weatherproof?
Yes, building wraps are designed to be used outdoors and are resistant to wind, rain, snow or sunshine. Heavy polyester mesh building wraps are made with thousands of tiny holes allowing wind to pass through while a dye sublimation print process helps prevent fading from sunshine.
What is the cost of mesh building wraps?
Building wraps are available from only £12.94 per square metre. When choosing a building wrap supplier, consider the measurements, material and installation required as well as the objective of your building wrap.
Ensure your scaffold wrap supplier uses a dye sublimation print process for the best quality finish and your material is suited to all weather conditions. Make sure you receive a proof of your design and you’re happy with the quality before printing.
For added peace of mind, ask for a material and print specification so you know exactly what you’re getting.
