FAQs
How much should I pay for a banner?
When considering how much to pay for a banner, there are three factors to consider:
1. Where your banners will be positioned
If your banner is to go on display outside, it’s worth considering a mesh banner. Mesh banners are made with thousands of tiny holes to allow air to pass through. This will help reduce the chances of your banners tearing or ripping in windy conditions.
If your banner is for indoor use, consider PVC banners. PVC and vinyl banners are typically the cheapest banner materials that offer a high-impact print.
2. Which material you’re looking for
When looking at affordable banner printing materials, consider:
- Weight (gsm) – thicker is likely to be stronger but heavier
- Weather resistance – is the material air permeable? waterproof?
- UV-resistance – ideal if your cheap banner is likely to be subject to direct sunlight
- Scratch resistance – PVC is more likely to scratch than mesh banners or fabric banners
3. Printing methods
Choose cheap banners that use a dye sublimation, UV or latex printing process. These methods will offer a quality print finish that stands out.
4. Artwork & delivery costs
Artwork and delivery costs can add to the cost of your inexpensive banner printing. Whilst many suppliers may charge for these services, we offer free artwork support and free delivery when you spend over £250. For orders under £250, there is a £17.50 delivery fee.
What is the cost of making banners?
Several factors impact the cost of your banner:
1. Material
Different materials vary in cost when it comes to manufacturing. PVC and vinyl banners are typically the most affordable banner option, while mesh banners and fabric banners are slightly higher in price.
2. Size
The larger the banner, the more it will add to the cost of your banner. However, discounts apply based on the amount of square metres you purchase.
3. Printing
The print process used to create your banner will impact the cost. For example, dye sublimation offers high quality but does come with a slightly higher price.
4. Delivery
Delivery costs impact the price of cheap banners. Order size and delivery location are two factors that will impact the cost of delivery for your banners.
5. Business costs
Printing businesses have overheads such as staff, marketing and business rates that are factored into affordable banner pricing.
What is the cheapest material used for printing banners?
PVC and vinyl banners are usually the cheapest banner material to choose from. However, mesh banners are only slightly higher in price and offer greater weather resistance. Below are the lowest possible price you can pay for affordable banner printing. These prices are based on orders over 300 square metres
- 400gsm PVC – £10.74 per square metre
- 300gsm PVC Mesh – £9.58 per square metre
- 115gm Polyester Airmesh – £11.21 per square metre
How long do cheap banners last?
Our inexpensive banners should last just as long as other banner printing options. However, it depends on the conditions they’re exposed to and how well they’re looked after. To keep your cheap banners looking great, ensure they’re:
- Fitted correctly and securely
- Regularly cleaned from any dirt or debris
- Taken down in really high winds
