Tool theft in the UK

Using Freedom of Information requests submitted to police forces across England, Scotland and Wales, we mapped the true scale of tool theft by region, revealing which areas are worst affected and what it’s costing tradespeople.

A year later, we went back to find out whether the picture had improved. It hadn’t. We’ve also put together 7 practical tips to help tradespeople prevent tool theft.

Construction Branding Spend

We used original data to understand how much construction companies across the UK invest in site branding and signage, and the regions where investment is concentrated.

The results revealed a sharp divide between London and the rest of the country, with significant growth emerging in the South East. We also explore why construction site branding is worth the investment.

Council festive light spending

We used Freedom of Information requests submitted to councils across the UK to analyse local authority budgets for Christmas light displays across the UK, revealing which councils are increasing investment and which are making cuts. Outdoor worker stress

We surveyed outdoor workers, including those in construction, events, and utilities, about stress levels, mental health, and workplace pressures. The findings highlight a culture of pushing through, with many workers reluctant to seek support.
