Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or transfers to countries with an adequacy decision from the UK Government.
9. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. The appropriate retention period will depend on the nature of the data and the reason it was collected. 11. Direct Marketing and Follow-Up Communications
When you submit a contact form or use a price calculator on our website, we treat this as a clear expression of interest in our products or services. On this basis, we will:
- Add your details to our mailing list, managed via Klaviyo, so we can send you relevant follow-up communications about the products or services you enquired about
- Contact you directly by email through Microsoft Outlook to follow up on your enquiry or provide further information
We rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis for this contact. We consider that individuals and businesses who actively submit enquiry forms or request pricing information have a reasonable expectation that we will follow up, and that our interest in doing so does not outweigh your right to privacy. You are not obligated to engage with us and can opt out at any time.
We may also send periodic marketing emails to our mailing list about new products, promotions, and relevant industry content. Where you are an existing customer, we may do this on the basis of legitimate interests. Where you are a new contact, we will only send broader marketing where you have given your consent, or where we have a clear legitimate interest based on your enquiry.
You can opt out of all marketing communications from us at any time by:
- Clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email we send via Klaviyo
- Replying ‘unsubscribe’ or ‘stop’ to any direct email from our team
- Emailing info@monster-mesh.co.uk with the subject ‘Marketing Opt-Out’
- Calling us on 01709 432001
Once you opt out, we will remove you from our mailing list and cease direct marketing contact. We may still contact you for transactional or legal purposes where necessary (for example, to fulfil an existing order).
12. Data Security
We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. This includes secure email practices, HTTPS encryption on our website, access controls, and regular reviews of our data handling procedures.
Whilst we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you have concerns about the security of your data, please contact us immediately.
