A pavement bistro on the Wirral and a Victorian micropub in Hampshire. Different venues with the same challenge to turn an outdoor space into something that looks branded, and worth stopping for.
Here’s what they ordered and how it turned out.
Three Dollar Bill Bistro, Hoylake
Venue type: Licensed bistro with pavement seating
Location: 107 Market Street, Hoylake, Wirral CH47 5AA
Website: threedollarbill.uk

Read on to find out how Three Dollar Bill transformed the pavement into a branded seating area for customers
Three Dollar Bill is a family-run bistro specialising in Detroit-style pizza, with home-cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, cakes, and soups during the day. They have outdoor seating directly onto the pavement on Market Street, a busy spot with plenty of footfall.
The problem with pavement seating and no enclosure is that it blends into the street. Passers-by don’t necessarily clock that it belongs to a venue, and there’s nothing stopping people from walking through it. They needed the space clearly defined, visibly branded, and ready for a specific opening date.
What we supplied
- 8 x budget café barrier bases and poles
- 6 x 1.5m cross rails
- 1 x 1.8m cross rail
- 6 x 510gsm PVC café barrier banners (1.5m)
- 1 x 510gsm PVC café barrier banner (1.8m)
- Bungees & connectors
- Dedicated delivery to meet their required date
The setup forms a three-sided enclosure around the outdoor seating area. Seven PVC café barrier banners, printed with the Three Dollar Bill branding, phone number, and menu highlights turn every panel into a piece of advertising visible to anyone walking down Market Street.

What to think about if you’re ordering for a similar venue
How many barriers do you need?
Measure the perimeter of the area you want to enclose, then divide by your chosen rail length (1.2m, 1.5m, or 1.8m). Three Dollar Bill used seven rails for a three-sided pavement enclosure. From Beer to Eternity used two rails for a simpler front-of-building setup.
PVC or mesh?
Sheltered spots – use PVC for a sharper print
Exposed settings – use air permeable mesh
Budget or premium bases?
Budget bases weigh 11.5kg. These are light enough to move and store easily, stable enough for most settings. If you’re somewhere particularly exposed, or you want a more upmarket look, our 15kg premium bases are worth considering.
Can you print anything on the banners?
Yes. Logos, menus, contact details, social handles, whatever you need. We offer free artwork support if you’re not sure where to start.
